There's always its PROS and CONS
I mean, every law has its PROS and CONS, right? But I believe that this law is horribly wrong. I mean, when an individual is noted as "a threat to national security", every action that he/she makes would be monitored without him/her realizing that his/her rights are being trampled by the government. Now why would President Arroyo make such laws? She already said that she'll be in the Palace for the last 3 years, right? Now who'll benefit from this law? Isn't it Mrs. Arroyo herself? I mean, she's being criticized more and more each day and she jumped onto this bill immediately so she can sail freely for the next three years. But what really bothers me is the passing of the said bill. Okay, let's look at the House of Representatives and the Senate. Let's say that there are so many members of the opposition there. So, they want these "security" from this said "threat" as well, right? What I really am looking forward to our next issue is that we make a feature about this said bill because it will the open eyes of the public because we can add names to the list of people we are to "watch out" and it's really unfair for some. Being journalists as well, we're affected by this law. This will certainly strangle our freedom to write and to inform our readers. We certainly must act through our articles. That's what we have and that's what we are to use.

Personally, I think that this anti-terror bill is a positive response of the RP to limit "terrorism" act/s in the country. On the other hand, the problem here is that the government is not always concrete with its plans. The government must further evaluate and -*test*-('") the waters before putting this proposed bill into law. The foundation of this bill must always be clear and concrete so that it will not be questioned by the general public. Besides, the big question about this is actually the national Id system thing. First and foremost, is this the number one priority? Where on earth are we going to get finances for this action? Will it affect the privacy and centralize the life and lifestyle of the general public? So, these are some of the many questions that need to be clarified! It is always easy to propose, yes, but it is hard to defend your claim/s...
